On July 21, 2019, under the leadership of Mr. Wang Peng from the College of Life Science and Technology, 19 undergraduates from Huazhong University of Science and Technology opened a study tour to Harvard University. The research is mainly focused on life sciences and medical health.
At 10:30 am Beijing time, 19 students from the College of Life Sciences and Technology and the School of Engineering and Sciences arrived at the meeting place on time and departed for Wuhan Tianhe Airport. Arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 16:00 Beijing time, and meet with the leader of this research activity. During the short waiting time, the leader Zhu Chunping gave the members a detailed introduction to the schedule and content of the event. As a result, students have more expectations for this research activity in the process of waiting.
At 20:00 Beijing time, the students boarded the plane to New York. After 15 hours of long-distance flight, the delegation arrived at JFK International Airport at 23:00 local time, although it had experienced such a long flight. However, all the students are very excited after the customs clearance, and are looking forward to this full and meaningful learning life. Then students took the bus to the hotel where they stayed at the night, FairBridge Hotel, New Jersey. On the bus, we looked at the night scene of Lower Manhattan across the river; listening to the rain outside the window from New York to New Jersey. Although it is late at night, the students are not too tired, perhaps because of the time difference, perhaps because of excitement, or perhaps with expectations. However, when all the students returned to the room, the first day of the trip ended quietly.
