2024年7月8日，夏令营的第八天同样精彩纷呈、收获满满。早上，在法方老师的带领下，我们精神饱满地继续投入到科学实验中。老师以其丰富的专业知识和实践经验，为我们揭示了微生物学、水样理化分析以及分子生物学领域的奥秘和魅力。实验过程中，我们积极提问、相互讨论，与法方老师形成了良好的互动。
下午，我们分组讨论，为本周五（7月12日）上午的科学研讨会做准备。交流前，同学们首先分组选择了自己感兴趣的课题，积极利用所学的知识和所掌握的文献检索能力来了解课题背景。我们就纳米孔技术的精确性、肽类生物标记物的应用潜力、基因治疗的安全性与有效性等重要课题提出了自己的见解和问题。讨论结束后，法国学者们结合自身的科研实践，跟我们进行了一次面对面的交流，深入解答我们的疑问。
简单的晚餐过后，我们参加了中法学生及老师共同参加的卡拉OK派对活动。在活动中，我们和法国师生欢聚一堂，共同挑选了包括中文流行歌曲、法国经典曲目等多样化歌单。大家轮流上台，用歌声展现各自文化的魅力，同时也挑战自我，尝试演唱对方国家的歌曲，体验语言与音乐的独特融合。现场氛围热烈而温馨，观众们的掌声和欢呼声此起彼伏。通过音乐这一跨越国界的通用语言，这次活动增进了我们和法国师生之间的友谊，促进了文化的相互理解和尊重。
在科学、文化与艺术的绚烂交织之中，中法两国的友谊如同常青之树，根深叶茂，历经风雨而愈发葱茏。这份友谊，不仅体现在两国领导人的互访和经贸合作上，更深深植根于两国人民的日常生活之中。在中法建交60周年之际，很荣幸能作为夏令营的一份子来到法国，深入感受中法在科学、文化和艺术之间的交融。中法60周年的友谊，见证了历史的沧桑巨变，也必将继续见证未来的美好发展。
The eighth day of the summer camp on July 8, 2024, was just as splendid and rewarding. In the morning, led by our French instructors, we resumed our scientific exploration with vigorous intellectual engagement. Our instructors, with their extensive professional knowledge and practical experience, unveiled the mysteries and allure of microbiology, physicochemical analysis of previously collected water samples, and molecular biology. Throughout the experiment, we actively posed questions and engaged in group discussions, fostering a positive interaction with our instructors.
In the afternoon, we formed several groups, preparing for the science symposium in the morning on Friday, July 12. Before the exchange, we chose the topics of interest as groups. We learned about the background of these topics with our own knowledge and literature research. We articulated our perspectives and inquiries on critical questions, including the precision of nanopore technology, the therapeutic potential of peptide biomarkers, and the safety and efficacy considerations in gene therapy. After the discussion, the French scholars participated in a face-to-face exchange with us, drawing on their own research experiences to thoroughly address our queries.
After a simple dinner, Chinese and French students and teachers joined a karaoke party. We gathered with the French students and teachers during the event, collaboratively selecting a diverse playlist that included Chinese pop songs and French classics. Getting on stage by turns, we showcased the charisma of our respective cultures through songs while also challenging ourselves to sing songs from each other’s countries, experiencing the unique blend of language and music. The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, with rounds of applause and cheers continuously bursting from the audience. The power of music, a language that transcends international boundaries, was on full display as this event nurtured the bond between us and our French counterparts while fostering a deeper appreciation and respect for each other's cultures.
Within the radiant fusion of science, culture, and the arts, the bond between China and France resembles a perennial evergreen, its roots profound and its canopy dense, growing more verdant with every tempest it withstands. This friendship is manifest not only through the diplomatic visits and trade partnerships between our nations’ leaders but is also quietly embedded in the daily lives of our people. On the occasion of the 60th-anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, I am honored to be a part of this summer camp and to come to France, where I am deeply immersed in the fusion of our countries in science, culture, and the arts. The 60th-anniversary friendship between China and France has witnessed the vicissitudes of history and must continue to witness the bright future ahead.
