On June 7, 2022, Professor Xue Yu, School of Life Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and his team published an article entitled "HemI 2.0: An online Service for Heatmap illustration. "
HemI 2.0 is a very simple and practical heatmap drawing tool. It also supports enrichment analysis and result visualization. Compared with other software, its interface operation can be completed by clicking the mouse. Even if you have not studied bioinformatics, you can draw your own exquisite heatmap. In HemI 2.0, 7 clustering methods and 22 types of distance metrics were implemented, and the clustering results and publicationquality heatmaps can be exported directly. For an in-depth analysis of the data, HemI 2.0 further added an option of enrichment analysis for 12 model organisms, with 15 types of functional annotations. The enrichment results can be visualized in five idioms, including bubble chart, bar graph, coxcomb chart, pie chart and word cloud.
Postdoctoral fellow Ning Wanshan and master student Wei Yuxiang were the first authors of the paper, and professor Xue Yu was the corresponding author of the paper.
