2019暑期欧洲贝时璋菁英班研学夏令营日志

Day 4: 遇见伙伴!

 法国研学之行的第四天,晴,身心舒畅,大家已经逐渐适应欧洲生活了。

 一日之计在于晨,清晨应该有丰富的早餐,第一小组的田螺姑娘为大家精心准备了丰盛而又营养的食物,还提供了叫醒服务,为异国他乡的生活增添了一抹彩色。

 享用了美食后,大家整装待发,一同前往埃夫里大学Maupertuis教学楼开启了今日份的生物专业课程学习。巧合的是,今天还有华中科技大学法国高校生命科学夏令营的小伙伴的加入,一同学习代谢基因组学、合成生物学、系统生物学以及癌症相关知识的课程。

 在上午的课程中,来自埃夫里大学的Bruno COLOMBO教授,为我们教授合成生物学相关知识。Bruno COLOMBO教授主要对合成生物学的起始、发展、前沿、目标以及实例进行着重阐述,尤其是让我们领会到合成生物学区别于基因工程的核心在于建立人工生物系统,让它们像电路一样运行。同时结合了涉及光遗传学、CAR-T等前沿技术的实例给我们描绘了合成生物学的广袤前景和应用范围。Bruno COLOMBO教授对合成生物学的讲解内容详实、覆盖面广,令人印象深刻。

 上午充实的学习让大家的代谢也加快了,迫不及待地前往固定中餐馆,一路上大家对上午的课程意犹未尽地进行了讨论。大快朵颐后,大家陆续回到教室准备好下午的课程。

 来自巴黎第十三大学,同时也是Pasteur Institute的Michel CREPIN教授以非常有趣的方式为大家讲授了癌症的防治。Michel CREPIN教授为我们展示了饮食以及生活习惯对于癌症的发生有着巨大的影响,例如肺癌,以法国吸烟人数为实例宏观的显示了患癌风险几率,同时也给出了非常详尽的正确防癌生活方式。短暂休息后,Michel CREPIN教授对其所在的Pasteur Institute的起源、规模、人员、研究领域等进行了一个综合性的介绍,激励了我们对生物研究的兴趣和热情。

 漫步在法国傍晚下仍洒满阳光的大道上,回忆今日种种,一整天的生物专业学习让大家收获颇多,尤其是加深了对合成生物学等前沿学科的认知。各自回到住处,沐浴更衣,整理心得,静下心为新一天的学习做准备,晚安Bonsoir

 On the third day of the French study trip, we are physically and mentally comfortable in the sun.

 Everyone has gradually adapted to European life. The plan for the day begins with a rich breakfast (ha); the conch girls of group one carefully prepared several kinds of rich and nutritious food for every teammember, and wake-up service, adding a touch of color to the life of foreign countries.

 After enjoying the delicious food, we went to the maupertuis Building of Evry University to start today's biology course. Coincidentally, partners from another Life Science Summer Camp of Huazhong University of Science and Technology joined us today to study metabolic genomics, synthetic biology, system biology and cancer-related knowledge.

 In the morning course, Professor Bruno Colombo, from the University of Evry, taught us knowledge about synthetic biology. Professor Bruno Colombo focused on the beginning, development, frontier, goals and examples of synthetic biology. We learned that the core of synthetic biology is to build artificial biological systems and make them run like circuits. At the same time, combined with the examples of photogenetics, car-T and other cutting-edge technologies, he also described the vast prospect and application scope of synthetic biology. Professor Bruno colombo's explanation on synthetic biology is detailed, extensive and impressive.

 

 The rich study in the morning accelerated everyone's metabolism. I couldn't wait to go to the Chinese restaurant. On the way there, everyone discussed about the morning course. After having a lot of food, we went back to the classroom one after another to prepare for the afternoon course.

 Professor Michel Crepin, who is a professor both at the University of Paris 13 and Pasteur Institute, taught us the prevention and treatment of cancer in a very interesting way. Professor Michel Crepin showed us that diet and living habits have a great impact on the occurrence of cancer, such as lung cancer. Taking the number of smokers in France as an example, the risk of cancer is shown, as well as a very detailed and correct way of life to prevent cancer. After a short break, Professor Michel Crepin gave a comprehensive introduction to the origin, scale, staff and research fields of his Pasteur institute, which increased our interest and enthusiasm in biological research.

 While walking on the sunny boulevard in the evening in France and recalling all kinds of things today,  everyone gain a lot about the whole day of biology major study ,especially to deepen the understanding of cutting-edge disciplines such as synthetic biology.
