Graduate Program at a glance

After serious negotiations with the University of Saclay and Evry Val D’Essonne, the School of Life Science and Technology of HUST, the University of Saclay and the University of Evry Val D’Essonne, France, signed a "3+0.5+1.5" project cooperation agreement.

This is a joint program for students from HUST and French students from Saclay called BTCG which is Life Science and Health Tissue, Cell and Gene Biotherapies. Courses of the program are taught in English.

Selected undergraduate students from the School of Life Science and Technology of HUST will start their master program at the University of Saclay in the fourth academic year and will go to France in the second semester of the fourth academic year to continue their studies and complete their graduation project in their fourth year.

After completing the 4th academic year, students will receive the bachelor's degree from the School of Life Science and Technology as long as they meet the degree requirements of our university. In the 5th year, students continue to complete their master's degree studies at the University of Evry Val D’Essonne, and upon meeting the relevant requirements, they will be awarded a master's degree from the University of Paris-Saclay.

Introduction of Université d'Évry-Saclay

Evry Val D’Essonne is a recent institution. Created in 90's, it was one of the four new universities opened in France during that period.

From its start, it sets a double requirement that has since been translated into actions. The first is territorial and international in scope: offer quality higher education in close proximity to a young population in full expansion. The second is societal: to participate in the emancipation of these young people to make them citizens and graduates, ready to integrate society and the professional world, in accordance with republican principles.

The University of Évry provides training in most disciplines. Since it was created, it has also been developing vocational courses in close connection with the Essonne employment pool, which has quickly raised it to the top rank of French universities in terms of the number of apprentice students in higher education.

Today, the University of Évry is a member of the ComUE "Université Paris-Saclay", alongside two other universities (Université Paris-Sud, University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin -en-Yvelines), and large schools such as Centrale Supélec, and the Ecole Normale Supérieure. The vast majority of Masters’ degrees are now stamped "Université Paris-Saclay".

Introduction of Université Paris-Saclay

Université Paris-Saclay was born from the shared ambition of French universities, grandes écoles and national research organizations. As a leading university in Europe and the world, it covers the fields of science and engineering, life sciences and health, and humanities and social sciences. The university’s science policy closely intertwines research and innovation, incorporating both basic and applied science to tackle major societal challenges.

Université Paris-Saclay offers a wide range of undergraduate programs to doctorate level degrees, including programs with its grandes écoles, all of which are focused on achieving student success and employability and also offers a comprehensive range of lifelong learning courses. University prepares students for an ever-changing world.

Université Paris-Saclay also appears in the world's Top 20 universities according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2022. The ranking ranks the world's most productive research universities and is published annually by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Université Paris-Saclay is ranked as France's top university and the world's leading university for Mathematics.

Our History

Before our program launched, college of Life Science and Technology of HUST had couple of collaborations with French universities.

The earliest one was collaborative research with CNRS which is The French National Centre for Scientific Research in 2003.

In 2015, HUST and Université Paris-Sud signed the framework agreement and next year the cooperation agreement for “3+0.5+1.5” master program between HUST and the Université d’Évry was completed.

This master program has run successfully for four years and the elaborate discussion about undergraduate program began in 2018.

One year after, the Memorandum of Understanding with the Université Paris-Saclay and the Université d’Évry to a Sino-French Undergraduate established Dual Degree Program in Biosciences.

Our program is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 2021, and then we proceeded to welcome our first students in August, 2021.
