Today is the eighth day of our study trip in France, and we continued to explore the beautiful country. In the morning, we visited Fontainebleau Castle, and in the afternoon, we headed to Fontainebleau Forest for orienteering and micro-organism sampling.
In the morning, as we stepped into Fontainebleau Castle, we were deeply captivated by its grandeur and historical significance. The construction of this castle began in the 12th century and underwent several centuries of renovations and expansions, making it one of the most important palaces in French history. We walked through the magnificent palace, elegant gardens, and opulent rooms, experiencing the splendor and luxury of the French noble life. The paintings, sculptures, and furniture inside the castle showcased a rich artistic tradition and unique cultural heritage, deepening our understanding of French history and culture.
In the afternoon, we arrived at Fontainebleau Forest to participate in orienteering and micro-organism sampling activities. The forest offered a serene and picturesque environment with dense woodlands, lakes, and rocky landscapes. Orienteering was a team-based activity that required cooperation and navigation skills. We formed small groups, used maps and compasses to locate control points, and completed tasks. Navigating through the forest, we experienced the charm and power of nature while honing our teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Additionally, we conducted micro-organism sampling. The forest served as a treasure trove of microorganisms. We collected water samples from ponds to be used as materials for our upcoming scientific experiments.
This day of our study trip in France was enriching and meaningful. We not only visited historical landmarks and enjoyed natural landscapes but also actively participated in cultural exchange and scientific practices. These experiences broadened our horizons, increased our knowledge and skills, and cultivated our teamwork and leadership abilities. We look forward to the rest of our journey in France, eager to continue exploring and learning, and laying a solid foundation for our personal growth and future endeavors.
