内容简介:Chemical Genomics is a new discipline that integrates high-throughput data collection and computation with a variety of goals including novel drug target identification and validation, compound design and chemical synthesis, high throughput screening, and toxicity study of drugs. To support Chemical Genomics, NIH recently launched the Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network (MLPCN) project. MLPCN is a collaborative research network with complementary abilities that will enable generation of effective and useful small molecule chemical probes for the entire biomedical research community. Computation plays a critical role in chemical genomics. In this talk, we will present our latest progress of applying advanced data mining technique in chemical genomics research with a focus on protein-chemical interaction prediction.
 
浣军博士简介:
浣军博士1997年在北京大学生获得学士学位,2006University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 获得Ph.D.,并于同年获得University of KansasAssistant Professor职位。浣军博士主要从事数据发掘(data mining)和机器学习(machine learning)的理论、算法和应用的研究,研究领域涉及生物信息学、生物医学信息学、功能基因组学(functional genomics)、化学基因组学(chemical genomics)、系统毒理学(systems toxicology)、人类遗传学等。
浣军博士曾先后在阿贡国家实验室(Argonne National Laboratory,美国能源部最大的研究中心之一)和葛兰素史克公司(Glaxo Smith Kline plc,全球著名制药公司)工作。浣军博士是Information and Telecommunication Technology Center (ITTC), Bioinformatics Center, Bioengineering Program, and the Center for Biostatistics and Advanced Informatics成员,此外,浣军博士还多次以Program Committee memberCo-Chair参与组织IEEE的生物医学、生物信息学等方面的国际会议。浣军博士曾于2009年获得美国NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award,他在国际一流学术期刊和顶级国际会议上发表了40多篇论文。
