5月15日,国际光学工程学会(SPIE)发布新闻,骆清铭教授当选为SPIE会士(Fellow),并介绍了骆教授的主要成绩。

Qingming Luo Elected SPIE Fellow
SPIE – The International Society for Optical Engineering will honor 56 new Fellows of the Society this year. Fellows are members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics,and imaging.They are honored for their technical achievement, for their service to the general optics community,and to SPIE in particular. More than 480 SPIE members have become Fellows since the Society’s inception in 1955.
“The annual recognition of Fellows provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge outstanding members for their service to the general optics community,” says Brian Culshaw, SPIE President.
Qingming Luo
Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, for specific achievements in biomedical optics and medical imaging.
Luo’s research interests have focused on biomedical photonics and bioinformatics. He has systematically carried out the studies on optical molecular imaging and tissue optical imaging based on tissue structure and function. He has invented the functional near-infrared spectroscopy brain imager and his group developed the methodology and applications of optical intrinsic signal imaging and laser speckle imaging on the high resolution imaging of cortical activities. He exploited a series of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) probes to monitor the protease activity in living cells. Luo also invented a novel technique and
method for fast fluorescence microscopy imaging and established the fluorescence molecular diffusion optical tomography system for small animal in vivo imaging.
Luo has published extensively in numerous international journals such as the Optics Letters, of Bio-Optics and Journal of Biomedical Optics, and Applied Optics. He is the chairperson Laser Medicine Committee of Chinese Optics Society. He also serves on editorial boards of various international journals including Journal of Biomedical Optics and Current Analytical Chemistry.

SPIE(国际光学工程协会)今年将授予56名学者“会士”称号,能获此殊荣的会士均是在光学、光子学和成像技术等多学科交叉领域取得重大科研成就,为光学领域特别是为SPIE作出卓越贡献的会员。自1955年国际光学工程协会创立以来,共有480多名SPIE会员获得“会士”称号。
协会主席Brian Culshaw说:“每年我们都会评选出为整个光学界作出杰出贡献的会士,这一举措也为我们提供了一个对他们的成就表示肯定和认可的机会。”
骆清铭教授
中国华中科技大学,在生物医学光子学和医学成像技术方面取得重要成就。
骆清铭教授的研究领域主要集中在生物医学光子学和生物信息学。他在“光学分子成像”和“关于组织结构与功能的组织光学成像”方面有系统的研究。他发明了近红外光谱脑成像仪,其领导的科研小组发展了高分辨光学内源信号成像和激光散斑成像方法,并应用于研究大脑皮层活动。他们开发了用于监测活细胞内蛋白质酶活性的系列荧光共振能量转移(FRET)探针。此外,他还发明了快速荧光显微成像方法,并建立了小动物荧光分子扩散光学层析成像系统。
骆清铭教授在Optics Letters, Journal of Biomedical Optics和Applied Optics等国际权威期刊发展了系列学术论文。他还担任中国光学学会生物光学与激光医学专业委员会主任。此外他还在诸如Journal of Biomedical Optics,Current Analytical Chemistry等国际期刊担任编委。(武汉光电国家实验室(筹))
