Description: Dr. Liu Quan's laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a qualified person for one post-doctoral research fellow position in the field of biophotonics. This laboratory focuses on the development of novel biophotonics technology for medical diagnostics. The successful candidate will be involved in applying optical spectroscopy in medical diagnosis. The candidate should have hands-on experience in one or more of the following: biomedical optics, optical spectroscopy including surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, and nanotechnology enabled diagnostics. The salary will be determined in accordance with NTU's policy. The initial contract will be one year and could be extended depending upon mutual interests. Qualifications:
The candidate should have a PhD degree in Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Physics/Biophysics, Optical Engineering or related fields. Research experience in optical spectroscopy or related biophotonics areas is preferred. Strong self-motivation and excellent communication skills are essential.

The candidate should have 1) Bachelor or Masters degree in engineering or relate fields; 2) some experience in the use of standard C, Matlab or Labview programming. Knowledge or experience in optics will be a plus. Excellent communication skills are essential.
